FRIED-DAY

I think it's a little depressing going to work on Fridays. Everyone else seems to have the day off. I drive through downtown on the mail run at 11am and there are so many cute people walking around, shopping, eating, laughing, not working, and I try not to get angry at them.

But THEN, I think about what I would do if I had the day off.... and I really don't know. I've had days off before, and I'm so overwhelmed with the fact that my schedule is free that I don't know where to start--Errands? Catoctin zoo? Downtown shopping? Running? Laying by the pool for hours and tanning and reading? Hike? Take pictures? Blog (haha)? Get Deuce's nails clipped? Go to Harrisburg and visit Jarod and family, or Malinda? Hang out in front of the TV all day and feel useless?

And I don't have a ton of friends here yet that I could just call up to hang out, so I have to plan around what I wouldn't mind doing alone--like eating at a nice restaurant? Naw, that's better shared...

So I came to work this morning and my supervisor has off, which makes it worse. But I think he left his light on in his office, and his office is locked...

So because I get so confused and overwhelmed with all the options, I guess I'm kind of glad I work today. I'll get things done--all in the name of helping the less fortunate and giving glimmers of hope to anyone I come across, and that helps make my day a little more........... exciting. And even though I feel like I never have time to just explore and have fun and relax because I'm always working, I will live knowing at least I'm doing SOMETHING.

And that's better than nothing.
